Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, Regional Safety Action Plan
High Street combined systemic and location-specific analyses to assess and improve transportation safety across the COMPASS region. The systemic analysis identified features correlated with severe crashes, from inadequate pedestrian infrastructure to speeding, while the location-specific analysis used GIS tools to pinpoint areas of high crash concentration. An interactive visualization tool dynamically presents the High Injury Network and other results, giving the region a foundation for planning targeted safety improvements.
