New Mexico DOT, New Mexico 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan

High Street led the development of New Mexico’s long range transportation plan which included the development of long term goals, objectives and performance measures, an assessment of the existing system performance, identification of trends and issues that will impact transportation in the future, revenue forecast, development of strategies, and stakeholder outreach. The development of the plan strategies included a scenario planning exercise. High Street worked with NMDOT to develop four scenarios. High Street presented the quantitative assumptions and qualitative narrative around each scenario to the stakeholders in three regional and one tribal virtual meeting. The stakeholders were asked to think about the needs of the transportation system under the scenarios, the positive and negative impacts each might have, and their concerns. The High Street team gathered the feedback obtained in the virtual meetings to develop and refine long term transportation strategies to prepare New Mexico for the uncertain future.
