Nebraska DOT Carbon Reduction Strategy

High Street is leading the development of Nebraska DOT’s Carbon Reduction Strategy (CRS) for submittal to USDOT in response to new federal Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) requirements. High Street is consulting with internal staff, MPOs, and other external stakeholders to develop the CRS that is aligned with existing transportation planning processes. The project involves foundational research; interviews with peer states, NDOT staff, and statewide stakeholders; and in-person consultations with MPOs. The CRS will identify projects and strategies to reduce transportation emissions and may quantify total carbon emission reductions.
